London – Ruby Developer – £80k-£120k
Platform Recruitment has partnered with an innovator in the sports gambling industry who are looking for a Ruby Developer to join their team based in Holborn, London. You will report to the Software Team Lead, and be responsible for Ruby development across multiple projects
Main Duties:
+ Developing and maintaining APIs and web applications using Ruby on Rails
+ Collaborating with product, front-end, C# teams on new feature design and implementation
+ Optimising application performance and scalability
+ Participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing
+ Adapt to and utilise technologies in the current stack, including AWS, Kafka, MySQL
Key Experience Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
+ Minimum 5 years of Ruby on Rails development experience
+ Understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles
+ Familiarity with Rails 7 MVC including importmaps, JS, is a plus
+ Experience with Kafka and/or microservices is desirable
Salary/Location:
+ The salary for this position is £80k-£120k, depending on experience
+ This role is full-time, based in the company HQ in Holborn, London
