Mechanical Design Engineer - £35k-£45k – Hertfordshire – Special Purpose Machinery
My client design, develop and manufacture special purpose machinery. They’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer who is eager to take on more responsibility to design & develop bespoke machinery from concept stages through to production. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business to have a real input into product development.
Main Duties:
+ Create new design concepts – cradle to grave
+ 3D CAD design
+ Prototype and test designs
+ Create BOM's
+ Conduct feasibility studies for new concepts
+ Problem solving
Skills & Experience Required:
+ Experience in Special purpose machinery
+ Familiar with geometric tolerances
+ Strong 3D CAD skills – Ideally Solidworks
+ Experience in the full product lifecycle
+ Experience in sheet metal
+ Hands on and practical
The salary will be between £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
