Kent – Lead PCB Design Engineer – Permanent

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established organisation working within the aerospace and military domain. They are looking to expand the team and want an experienced PCB engineer who has experience designing flexible and rigid flex PCB boards. Due to the nature of their work, you will need to be eligible for SC clearance so people with a British passport will be applicable.

Main Duties:

+ Modify existing PCB libraries but also create new design and concepts for customers
+ Design flex and flexirigid PCB boards
+ Be involved in the whole process from requirements gathering, producing 3D concepts quickly and efficiently, going through schematic capture and PCB design (they used Altium).
+ Speak with clients and customers (mainly large military clients in the UK) and provide technical expertise on how best to meet their requirements

Skills Needed:

+ Candidates best suited for this role would have around 10+ years experience working with Electronics and PCB design.
+ Experience designing flex and rigid flexible PCB boards
+ Experience with Altium would be preferred but other CAD systems would be considered and on the job training of Altium can be provided
+ Due to the interactive nature of the role you need to have good communication and customer facing skills
+ SC clearance is a requirement so you need to have lived and worked in the UK for 5 years and have ILR or be a British Passport holder.

More Information:

This role does come with flexible working and working from home. However, you will need to be within a realistic radius of the office to be able to come to the office should you be needed to. This policy will also not apply to your first few weeks of the role as you will need to get up to speed quickly with the products.
