Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - £50k-£65k – Cambridge – Medical
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a company specialising in the development of medical and diagnostic products from early-stage concepts, through to mass manufacture. They’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is interested in all aspects of product development, including concept generation, prototyping, testing, analysis, and manufacturing.
Main Duties:
+ Concept development
+ 3D CAD design
+ Build prototypes
+ Test & validate designs
+ Lead your own projects
+ Mentor junior engineers
Skills & Experience Required:
+ Taken a product from concept stages to mass manufacture
+ Strong 3D CAD skills – Solidworks
+ Background in developing medical, diagnostic or scientific devices
+ Produce manufacturing drawings
+ Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing techniques
The salary will be between £50,000-£65,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available including a strong bonus, private medical and flexible working.
