Senior Manufacturing Engineer - £55k-£70k - Cambridge - Electro-Mechanical Equipment
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a company that develop high value electro-mechanical equipment across the full product lifecycle - concept through to production. They’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join an expanding team. You’ll lead manufacturing product improvements across the business and work closely with R&D to introduce new products to manufacture and provide feedback for improvements to existing products and development projects.
Main Duties:
+ New product introduction
+ Plan and develop department and management processes
+ Support supply chain programmes
+ Lead investigations into part/assembly failures
+ Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement
+ Work with key stakeholders
Skills and experience required:
+ HNC or above in relevant engineering discipline
+ Experience in high value equipment
+ Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
+ Demonstrable experience in new product introduction
+ Strong communicator
+ Knowledge of capital equipment, bespoke machinery, scientific instruments & other high value equipment
The salary will be between £55,000-£70,000 depending on experience. This position also offers a clear progression route to a managerial role and above.
