Firmware Engineer – Cambridge – £50k-£65k
My client is a technology design and engineering company who work with global manufacturers and OEMS incorporating their unique IP from concept to mass production. Succesive growth and demand has led to a new position being created within the firmware team.
My client is willing to pay a competitive salary depending on experience, with a great benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Specify, develop and evaluate embedded firmware solutions to drive precision actuators.
Develop and improve the methods and procedures to enhance ability to deliver successful products
Requirements:
1st Class or 2:1 BSc or BEng in Electronic Engineering or other relevant degree course
Embedded programming of microcontrollers, ideally ARM Cortex or RISC-V.
Embedded C/Assembler.
Proven ability working low-level, interfacing to electronics. Comfortable reading schematics.
Desirable experience:
Digital signal processing (DSP)
Use of Python
Experience with motor drives, BLDC motors and precision motor control.
