Mechanical Engineer - £40k-£50k – Cambridgeshire – Electro-Mechanical
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a high-tech engineering company who develop cutting edge electro-mechanical products from concept stages through to a manufacture. They’re looking to expand the R&D team with a qualified Mechanical Engineer who is experienced and interested in all aspects of product development, including concept generation, prototyping, test, analysis and manufacture.
Main Duties:
+ Full product lifecycle development
+ Mechanism & component design
+ Concept generation
+ 3D CAD design
+ Test and evaluate theoretical designs
+ Mechanical analysis
Skills and experience required:
+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
+ Strong 3D CAD skills
+ Background in precision engineering
+ Use of simulation tools - ideally Comsol or FEA
+ Experience in different manufacturing processes - injection moulding
+ Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals including mechanism design, structural and dynamics analysis
The salary will be between £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
