Mechanical Design Engineer - £30k-£35k – Cambridgeshire – Product Development
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a cutting-edge product development company based in the Cambridge area, renowned for being at the forefront of technology innovation. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or have 1-3 years of industry experience. They will have a passion for all aspects of product development, from concept generation and prototyping to testing, analysis, and manufacturing.
Main Duties:
+ Produce conceptual designs
+ Design from concept through to product launch
+ Prototype, test and validate designs
+ 3D CAD design
+ Brainstorming sessions
+ Produce & maintain technical documentation
Skills & Experience:
+ Degree in related discipline – Mechanical/Product Design
+ Strong 3D CAD skills – Solidworks
+ Creativity and blue sky thinking
+ Experience in the full product lifecycle
+ Knowledge of different manufacturing, materials, and assembly processes
The salary will be between £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefit package available.
