Mechanical Design Engineer - £35K - £45K - Kent - Optical Components
I’m currently recruiting for a leading defence company specialising in the design and manufacture of optical components and devices used in the defence industry. They’re looking for a technical, experienced, and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join their design team due to company expansion. You will have the opportunity to take new and exciting products from concept through to development as well as working on several NPD projects at early stages.
Main Duties Include:
+ R&D
+ Supporting the production of existing products
+ 3D CAD Design
+ Prototyping and testing
+ Producing design-related documentation
+ Liaising with new and existing clients
Skills and Experience Required:
+ Eligibility to obtain SC clearance
+ 3D CAD design experience (Solidworks preferred)
+ Strong understanding of the full product lifecycle
+ Experience with electro-mechanical components e.g. Optics/Sensors etc
+ Knowledge of manufacturing methods e.g. casting, moulding, machining
+ FEA
Salary will be between £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. The company also has a wide range of benefits including personal development training and a competitive pension scheme.
