The role would be focused on visiting customers throughout the US (and Europe on occasion) to carry out Maintenance contract visits, ad hoc general maintenance, fault finding, installation and commissioning.
The successful candidate will mostly travel the US and on occasion spend up to 4 nights away each week from home and could be up to 2 weeks away including weekends, so the candidate must be extremely
flexible. When not out on maintenance the candidate will be based at our workshop/offices in Boston daily to support our production floor activity.
TRAINING
Full training is provided by shadowing an experienced engineer for the first 2-3 months at customer facilities and working on the manufacturing floor. The development of the role is very much ‘hands-on’, adapting to the conditions faced in the field and learning on the job, whilst being supported by our experienced technical and service team members.
EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with the following:
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Excellent customer service skills and a commercially focused approach
• Ability to work alone and manage your own workload
• Mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge is essential
• Electrical and PLC knowledge an advantage
• Good problem-solving skills
• Well organised with good administration and computer skills required
• Full-clean driving license
