Leicester (2 days from home) – Embedded Linux Software Engineer – Salary negotiable – circa 60-65k+
This is a great opportunity to join one of our large clients operating in the marine space. They are looking to bring on a Embedded engineer with strong skills with Yocto to help build linux operating systems from scratch. This Embedded Linux role comes with hybrid working and great benefits.
Main Duties:
+ Create and maintain embedded linux operating systems that you will build from scratch using Yocto
+ Work on custom drivers to interact with hardware components for our clients bespoke hardware platforms.
+ Develop new and existing software applications as part of the engineering team.
+Establish, maintain and extend in-depth technical expertise in the latest advances.
Skills Needed:
+ Degree qualified within Computer Science or related discipline
+ Strong experience using Yocto to build embedded linux OS
+ Experience within Embedded programming using C/C++
Further Information:
This role comes with hybrid working and flexible hours. You will be expected to come to the office 3 days a week, and the core hours are 10-4pm Mon- Thu and 10-2pm on a Friday. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. They also have an 8% employer pension contribution with no employee expectation to contribute.
