Mechanical Design Engineer - £40K- £45K - North Hampshire - Optics/Scientific Instruments
I’m currently recruiting for a company specialising in the design and manufacture of high precision scientific instruments and optical devices in North Hampshire. They’re looking for a talented, enthusiastic and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative development team. You will have the opportunity to take new products from concept through to production as well as working on several exciting projects.
Main Duties Include:
+ DFM
+ 3D CAD design (Solidworks)
+ Design and development of high precision opto-mechanical components
+ Detailed design drawings
+ Engineering documentation
Skills and Experience Required:
+ 3D CAD design experience (Solidworks preferred)
+ 1-5 years experience design high precision electro-mechanical components
+ Knowledge of fibre optic products (preferred)
+ Hands-on machining and manufacturing experience
Salary will be between £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. There is also a company benefits package including health insurance and a flexible/hybrid working structure.
