Mechanical Design Engineer - £28k-£30k – Bedford – Special Purpose Machinery
Platform Recruitment is collaborating with a manufacturer that focuses on designing machinery from initial concepts to final production. They’re seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing design team. The role requires delivering robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions, as well as engaging with clients to strengthen relationships.
Main Duties:
+ 3D CAD design
+ Design and develop new products
+ Prototype and test designs
+ Translate customer requirements to specifications
+ Test feasibility of designs
+ Deal directly with customers
Skills & Experience Required:
+ Strong 3D CAD skills
+ Previously designed sheet metal/stainless steel products
+ Produce manufacturing drawings
+ Knowledge of fabrication, machining and assembly techniques
The salary will be between £28,000-£30,000 depending on experience.
