Mechanical Design Engineer

​Mechanical Design Engineer - £35k-£40k – Essex – Special Purpose Machinery
My client design and manufacture special purpose machinery from concept stages through to production. They’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an expanding design team. You will need to be capable of delivering highly robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions as well as leading mechanical development on new product development projects.

Main Duties:
+ 3D CAD design
+ Design and develop new machinery
+ Prototype and test designs
+ Translate customer requirements to specifications
+ Test feasibility of customer requirements
+ Produce BOM’s
+ Work as part of a team and on individual projects
Skills & Experience Required:
+ Experienced in the full product lifecycle
+ Strong 3D CAD skills
+ Produce manufacturing drawings
+ Experienced in designing special purpose machinery or equipment
+ Knowledge of fabrication, machining and assembly techniques
+ Hands on and practical

The salary will be between £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
