Tips on Interviewing

Posted on 06 January 2023

  1. Research the company and the role you are applying for. This will help you understand the company's mission and values, and give you a better sense of what they are looking for in a candidate.

  2. Prepare answers to common interview questions. Some common questions include: "Tell me about yourself," "Why do you want to work for our company?" and "What are your strengths and weaknesses?"

  3. Dress appropriately for the interview. This means dressing in business attire, unless the company has a more casual dress code.

  4. Be on time. Arriving late to an interview can create a negative impression and show a lack of respect for the interviewer's time.

  5. Show enthusiasm and interest in the company and the role. You can demonstrate this by asking thoughtful questions and expressing why you are excited about the opportunity.

  6. Practice good body language. Make eye contact, sit up straight, and avoid crossing your arms or fidgeting.

  7. Follow up after the interview. Send a thank-you note or email to the interviewer, thanking them for their time and reiterating your interest in the role.
